Riffloop Is Now On iPhone
The practice studio you use on YouTube now fits in your pocket. Split a song into parts on the phone, mute the one you play, loop the bar you keep missing, slow it down and follow the chords.
Short answer
Does Riffloop have an iPhone app?
Yes. Riffloop: Stem & Vocal Remover is free on the App Store for iPhone on iOS 26 or later. It splits a song from Files, or audio captured from another app, into four or six parts on the phone, with loops, speed, key, chords, a metronome and export.

Until today, Riffloop lived in the browser: the Chrome extension on the YouTube page, and the web Studio for your own files. That covers the desk. It doesn't cover the couch, the rehearsal room or the ten minutes before a lesson, which is where a lot of practice actually happens.
So Riffloop is now an iPhone app too.
What it does
- Bring in a song from Files, audio or video, up to 10 minutes. Or use Capture audio to record what another app is playing and practise along with it.
- Split it into four or six parts: vocals, drums, bass and other, plus guitar and piano with six.
- Mix it with a fader for every part. Drop the vocals and sing, or mute the guitar and play it yourself with a one-tap Backing track.
- Loop any A to B section and save the loops you come back to.
- Slow it down to half speed or push it to 1.5×, with the pitch kept.
- Change the key by up to 12 semitones.
- Follow the chords as the song plays, as guitar shapes in easy or barre form, with the key and tempo read from the audio.
- Click along with a metronome that follows the song's own beat.
- Export your mix, every part, or a single part, as MP3 or M4A, plus WAV on Pro.
A demo song comes already split, with a quick tour of the mixer, so you can try all of it before you add your own.
Still on your device
The separation runs on the iPhone itself. Your song isn't uploaded to us, the same as in the browser. That goes for Capture audio too: it keeps only the sound, never uses the microphone, and the recording stays on your phone.
One account, one plan
Sign in with Apple, Google or email. Use the account you already have on riffloop.app and your plan and saved loops come with you. If you're already on Pro, you're on Pro on your iPhone.
What's different on the phone
YouTube stays in the browser. On a computer, the extension works right on the YouTube video; on iPhone you start from a file or from Capture audio. And on Android? As of today Riffloop is on Google Play too, with the same features and the same account. Read what's different on Android.
Free and Pro
The app is free to download. The free plan gives you five separations a day, sections up to 60 seconds, four parts, three saved loops per song, chords and the metronome for the first 30 seconds, and 60-second MP3 or M4A exports. Pro opens up whole songs, six parts, Best quality, unlimited separations and loops, and full-length exports including WAV. In the app you buy Pro through Apple, at your country's price.
Split your first song on the phone
Download Riffloop, open the demo, then add a song of your own. The iPhone guide walks through every screen.
