Riffloop Is Now On Android
Same day as the iPhone app, Riffloop lands on Google Play. Split a song into parts on your phone, mute the one you play, loop the bar you keep missing, slow it down and follow the chords.
Short answer
Does Riffloop have an Android app?
Yes. Riffloop: Stem & Vocal Remover is free on Google Play for Android 12 or later. It splits a song from your files, or audio captured from another app, into four or six parts on the phone, with loops, speed, key, chords, a metronome and export.

Riffloop arrived on iPhone today, and now it's on Android too. Whichever phone is in your pocket, the practice studio comes with you.
What it does
- Bring in a song from your files, audio or video, up to 10 minutes. Or use Capture audio to record what another app is playing and practise along with it.
- Split it into four or six parts: vocals, drums, bass and other, plus guitar and piano with six.
- Mix it with a fader for every part, or build a Backing track that mutes one part, or two, in a single tap.
- Loop any A to B section, name it and save it.
- Slow it down to half speed or push it to 1.5×, with the pitch kept.
- Change the key a semitone at a time, up to 12 either way.
- Follow the chords as the song plays, as guitar shapes in easy or barre form, with the key and tempo read from the audio.
- Click along with a metronome that follows the song's own beat.
- Export your mix, every part, or a single part, as MP3 or M4A, plus WAV on Pro.
Made for Android
Two things work a little differently here. The song starts playing the moment you hit separate, and the parts fill in as Riffloop works, so you're listening from the first second. And if you turn on notifications you can lock your phone mid-split: Riffloop keeps going and tells you when your stems are ready.
Still on your device
The separation runs on the phone. Your song isn't uploaded to us. Capture audio works through Android's screen-sharing permission, because Android has no audio-only one, and Riffloop keeps the sound and nothing else.
One account, one plan
Sign in with Google or email. Use the account you already have on riffloop.app and your plan and saved loops come with you, on Android, on iPhone and in the browser.
Free and Pro
The app is free to download. The free plan gives you five separations a day, sections up to 60 seconds, four parts, three saved loops per song, chords and the metronome for the first 30 seconds, and 60-second MP3 or M4A exports. Pro opens up whole songs, six parts, Best quality, unlimited separations and loops, and full-length exports including WAV. In the app you buy Pro through Google Play, at your country's price.
Split your first song on the phone
Install Riffloop, open the demo song and follow the short tour, then add a song of your own. The Android guide walks through every screen.
Go split the song you've been meaning to learn.
